Recreating Instagram Filters:
I recreated the Instagram filters Amaro and 1977 using Photoshop. First I put my photo in Instagram and added the filters. Then I put the original picture in Photoshop and followed a series of steps to make the new filters. The 1977 photoshop picture was a lot redder. The Amaro photoshop picture was a lot greener.
Amaro:
Amaro:
- Increase the brightness and contrast
- Add a fill layer that's a light yellow color
- Select the layer and choose "Multiply" to make the color softer
- Add a blue level to the photo
- Change around the color levels as needed
- Increase the red output
- Increase the blue channel
- Increase the brightness and contrast
- Increase the color balance
- Change the levels
Glitch Art:
I used TextEdit to make glitch art. I made a copy of my original photo and opened it in TextEdit. I copied and pasted chunks of the code to make it seem like it had glitches. It was a cool process seeing how much you can change an image with the code. It took a lot of trial and error to make it look better.
