William Wegman is a photographer. He was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts in 1943 and is still alive today. Wegman originally intended to be a painter, but that all changed when he bought his dog Man Ray. He began filming his dog and then taking pictures. He used a Polaroid 20x24. The photos became wildly popular because they depicted the dogs in humanlike situations. He ended up buying another dog named Fan Ray. She had puppies and more pictures were taken. His work has been featured on Saturday Night Live, Sesame Street, and more. It's also in museums all across the country. Today he still takes photos and goes around reading his children's books to groups of kids. Some of his more famous work is featured below.
I also had to photograph in his style. It was difficult because my pets aren't really trained like his., but it was a good experience trying something unique like this.
